Tally ERP 9 Shortcut Keys: – Keyboard shortcut keys are combination of one or more keys to perform a particular task without the help of mouse. In other words, shortcuts keys run a command in tally software as an alternate to mouse clicks. Tally ERP 9 is one of the most used software for the purpose of Accounting. With the help of shortcut keys, one can run tally software faster than the one who does not know tally shortcut keys.
There are three types of Tally ERP 9 Shortcut Keys while working at tally software:-
- Single Underline Shortcut Keys: – Single underline shortcut keys means that ALT is the additional key. For Example if there is single under on F1 (Screen: Gateway of tally) then its mean ALT+F1 is the shortcut key.
- Double Underline Shortcut Keys: – Double underline shortcut keys means that CTRL is the additional key. For Example if there is Double under on F8 (Screen: Account Voucher Creation) then its mean CTRL+F8 is the shortcut key.
- No Underline Shortcut Keys: – No underline shortcut keys mean that only display key is the shortcut key. For Example if there is No underline on F3 (Screen: Gateway of tally) then its mean that only F3 is the shortcut key.

Hot Keys in Tally: – Apart from above shortcut keys which used with the combination of ALT or CTRL, there are some other useful keys for menu navigation. In tally menu, you noticed that some letters are in bold face with difference (Red) color. If we press the Red letter in keyboard then tally will take you to that menu. For Example if we press D>S>O, then we first go to Display Menu then Statement of account Menu and after that Outstanding menu. We may call these hot keys as No Underline Shortcut Keys.
